Kevin is a two-year-old toddler and the only child in his family. His parents also care for four foster children. They are both nurses but their income mainly goes towards repaying student loans and meeting daily needs.
Since a few weeks ago, Kevin has had a hydrocele, which is a swelling in a sensitive area. His mother noted the swelling and was worried. Kevin has also been crying a lot, is not as playful as he was before, and he hasn’t been resting well at night. Kevin was reviewed at our medical partner’s care center, Nyakibale Hospital, and had surgery recommended to repair the hydrocele. If not treated, the pain will persist. Fortunately, on August 4th, he will undergo hydrocele repair surgery at the hospital.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is requesting $146 to fund Kevin’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Kevin’s mother says, “I ask for your support so that my child gets treatment so that he can lead a more comfortable and pain-free life.”
