Harriet is a third grade teacher, living with her husband and three children in Uganda. Because her job doesn’t pay well, Harriet also works as a farmer, while her husband owns a small retail shop in the local trading center. However, given the poor economic climate, they shared that his business is suffering.
Harriet is currently expecting her fourth child. Her doctors have recommended that she deliver this child via a Caesarean section, because of the risks of her previous deliveries. Delivering via a C-section is the best way for the doctors to ensure the safety of both Harriet and her child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Harriet undergo a C-Section on September 27th, at Karoli Lwanga Hospital, Nyakibale. This procedure will cost $252, and Harriet needs your support to fund this procedure.
She shared, “I hope my delivery will come out successfully, and I expect a live baby once given your support to undergo my surgery.”
