John is a 30-year-old man and loving father of three children aged eight, four and one. He is the sole breadwinner in his family. To earn a living, John works as a motorcycle driver where he earns a commission based on the availability of customers.
On June 14th, John was involved in a motorcycle accident. He was hit by a fellow driver and suffered extensive injuries to his face. He was rushed to AIC Kijabe Hospital for first aid and stabilization. His face is extremely inflamed and he is unable to open his eyes.
Fortunately, our medical partner African Mission Healthcare (AMH) is able to help. John will undergo a fracture repair procedure, called an open reduction and internal fixation on June 19th. AMH is requesting $979 to fund this procedure, which will help reduce the inflammation. After complete healing, John will be able to resume work and support his family.
John says, “I cannot even feel my face or see. I just have random pains that I cannot tell where they come from. I need treatment please.”
