Kankwerere is a farmer from Uganda. She is married and a mother of nine children.
For six years, Kankwerere has been experiencing lower abdominal pain and heavy abdominal bleeding. She has been diagnosed with multiple uterine fibroids. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $208 to fund Kankwerere’s surgery. On September 6, she will undergo gynecological surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Once recovered, Kankwerere will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
Kankwerere says, “I hope to continue with farming and care for my family after surgery.”
