67-year-old Lamion is a farmer from a small village in Malawi. He lives with his wife, and his children and their families live close by. Lamion loves spending time with his grandchildren.
Lamion has been diagnosed with an inguinal hernia. This occurs when tissue pushes through a weak spot in the abdominal wall, near the groin. Lamion shares with our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, that he is in a lot of pain.
On July 20, Lamion will undergo hernia repair surgery, which will cost $334. Lamion is looking forward to going back to work on his farm.

Lamion underwent hernia repair surgery.
Lamion had a successful and uncomplicated hernia repair surgery, and he and his family are thrilled with his positive outcome. Lamion is very relieved to have this behind him, and he is looking forward to participating in all of the activities he was unable to due to his hernia.
