Nora is a 37-year-old policeman from Cambodia. He is married and has two sons. In his free time, he enjoys running, reading, and visiting his local pagoda to hear monks pray.
Three months ago, Nora developed a cataract in each of his eyes, causing him blurred vision. His condition has made it difficult for him to see and be independent. Hearing about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), Nora decided to seek treatment.
On May 4, Nora will undergo cataract surgery at Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, CSC’s care center. As part of his treatment, he will receive intraocular lens implants in each of his eyes. CSC is asking for $292 to cover the cost of his care.
After surgery, Nora will be able to see clearly again!

Nora underwent cataract surgery.
His eye cataract was successfully removed from his right eye, and clear vision has been restored. Following the operation, he was given eye drops to reduce inflammation and prevent infection. He will return soon for the same surgery on his left eye.
Nora says, “I feel very happy that I can see everything clearly again so that I can do any work easily and join ceremonies. I can go anywhere outside without needing to disturb others to go with me.”
