Norn is a 37-year-old tuk tuk driver who lives with his sister and her family in Kampong Speu province. Their parents and other siblings live nearby and visit often. In his free time, Norn likes to play volleyball and watch Cambodian boxing.
Around six years ago, Norn started noticing pain in his right hip. He cannot recall any trauma or injury that caused it, but the pain has gotten worse over time. He cannot walk long distances nor sleep through the night due to pain. A few years ago, he quit his previous construction job due to mobility issues.
Fortunately, Norn learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre. At CSC, surgeons can perform a total hip replacement to relieve Norn of his pain and allow him to walk easily. Treatment is scheduled for December 6th, and Norn needs help raising $1,118 to pay for this procedure.
Norn shared, “I hope I can stop this pain and go back to how I was before.”
