Julius is a hard-working laborer who lives in Kenya. Julius broke his jaw when a large log fell on him while he was loading lumber. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF), tells us that the 33-year-old “experiences pain when his lower mandible is exposed to cold. Julius has not been able to work since the accident and has problems eating as well.”
Julius needs surgery to reset his jaw. However, because he is currently out of work, Julius cannot afford the cost of care. AMHF says, “to access our facility he had to walk due to lack of transport fare. He needs financial aid to access treatment and be able to continue with his life.”
For $660, Julius will undergo surgery to have his mandible reset so that it can heal properly. Julius says, “I want to get well, continue work to provide for my family and educate my children.”
