Katusiime is a farmer from Uganda. She is married and has four children, all of whom are still in school. She is a small-scale farmer who mostly grows food crops while her husband is an elementary school teacher. Her family lives in a single-roomed rental house.
Katusiime has had a posterior right lower back mass for 20 years. It has increased in size over the years causing her to have severe backaches. She traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On July 7th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Katusiime needs help to raise $196 to fund this procedure.
She shared, “I expect to get healed from this condition and have better health after surgery to continue with farming to support my family.”

Katusiime underwent a mass removal.
Katusiime had a successful excision treatment to remove a mass. She is no longer experiencing pain, disfigurement, and is hopeful that she will regain her strength to work. She also feels relieved to now have peace of mind. Once fully recovered, her quality of life will significantly improve.
Katusiime says, “I am so thankful for this generosity and that there are people who are willing to help restore my health even though they do not know me. May the Almighty God bless you. I will resume with farming to earn a living after recovering.”
