Saru is a 24-year-old woman who lives in Nepal with her husband and two children. She works in agriculture, while her husband plays cricket for a regional team.
Recently, Saru went into a forested area to fetch wood. On her return, she accidentally hurt herself, and the wood she was holding hit her hard on the side of her head, damaging her ear lobe and causing it to bleed.
She left the wound untreated and is now unable to go to work, sleep normally, or take care of her family. She is in constant pain.

Saru received treatment for a wound on her ear.
“I want to thank all the donors and the doctors who helped in my treatment,” shares Saru. “We could not have afforded the treatment. The treatment would have increased our expenses and it would be difficult to run the family.”
Now that Saru has been treated, “she will be relieved from the pain [and] she will be able to do the household chores properly, and help the family function. She will also be able to sleep properly,” adds our medical partner, Possible.
