45 year old Evalyne is a small-scale farmer, living in Uganda. She and her husband - who is also a farmer - have four children, all of whom are in school.
For one year, Evalyne has been living with lower abdominal pain. She experiences bleeding and dizziness, and she has also lost weight, and is showing signs of anemia.
Evalyne has been diagnosed with a premalignant cervical lesion, which requires a total abdominal hysterectomy. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $219 to fund Evalyne’s surgery, which is scheduled to take place on February 1st, at Karoli Lwanga Hospital, Nyakibale. Once she has recovered from the procedure, Evalyne will be able to resume her daily activities, free of her current symptoms and future risk.
Evalyne says: “I hope I will get your support to be operated on to get better and get back to farming for a living.”
