George is a retired farmer from Malawi. He lives with his wife, and he spends his days tending his small garden and helping his grown children work the family farm. In his free time George likes to spend time with his wife and talk with his children and grandchildren.
For many years, George has had a hydrocele, which is a swelling in a sensitive area. This hydrocele causes George great weakness and pain and prevents him from being as active as he would like to be. Fortunately, on June 7, he will undergo hydrocele repair surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $302 to fund George’s surgery. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and six nights of hospital stay. George was thrilled to find out his surgery would be funded. He is eager to once again have the strength and mobility to be more active.
He says, “Thank you.”
