Mugarura is a young student from Uganda. He is the third born in a family of five. Mugarura is in fourth grade. His father is a builder, and his mother is a small-scale farmer.
For seven years, Mugarura has had bilateral inguinal hernias. The hernias are causing him discomfort and if not treated, may result in hernia twisting and blocking. Fortunately, on March 8, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $219 to fund Mugarura’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.
Mugarura’s father says, “I hope my son gets better after surgery and I continue with my work of building.”
