Jose received a prosthetic to regain the use of his arm.
After nearly a decade of using a non-functioning, cosmetic prothetic, Jose was successfully fitted with his new arm. Dr. Peter Rohloff, one of Jose’s doctors and the medical director at our partner, Wuqu’Kawoq, said that Jose was thankful and “will be able to work around the house and perform better in his job,” with the new prothetic.
“Jose had a nice piece of feedback for us,” Dr. Rohloff reported to Watsi. “He was initially very leery about the whole process of sponsorship, as he has had bad experiences with that in the past. But he felt that this whole process was respectful, efficient, and non-invasive.”
