Sokkhoeun is a 54-year-old construction worker from Cambodia. He is married and has one daughter who is studying in Grade Four. His wife sells snacks at a local market. In his free time, he enjoys watching the news.
Two weeks ago, Sokkhoeun was involved in a road accident while trying to navigate a curve, causing his motorcycle to skid and fall. The accident caused fractures to his right humerus and both bones in his forearm, leaving his arm severely injured. He experiences significant pain and is unable to use his arm, which has greatly affected his ability to work and provide for his family.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On February 3rd, Sokkhoeun will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will restore the use of his arm, allowing him to return to work and support his family. He can contribute $100, but needs help to raise $500 to fund his procedure and care.
Sokkhoeun said, “My hope is that this surgery will restore the use of my hand so I can work again and provide for my family.”
