Na is a 56-year-old homemaker from Cambodia. She has five children and six grandchildren. She lives with her husband, 17-year-old daughter, and one granddaughter in Takeo Province. Her husband works in construction, while her daughter and granddaughter are in school. In her free time, Na enjoys listening to monks pray and taking care of the home.
One month ago, while walking on a wet cement road, Na tripped, injuring her left arm. Her arm is swollen and red; her left elbow flexion is limited, which makes it difficult for her to use her hand. Although she is in pain, she has not sought any treatment and only takes medication from a nearby pharmacy to manage it.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On February 4th, Na will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will stabilize the fracture and promote proper healing, reducing pain and improving mobility. She and her family are able to contribute $75 towards the cost of her treatment and need help raising $408 more to fund the procedure.
Na shared: “I hope to use my hand easily again so I can take care of my granddaughter at home.”
