Agness is a determined young girl from Tanzania. She works hard to take care of her grandmother but many tasks are difficult for her. Agness is unable to use her arms due to burn scar contractures (areas of tightened skin caused by severe burns) on both arms.
“My wish is to one day go to school and later on work in an office as an accountant,” Agness tells her doctors, “I know I can do more with my hands.”
This strong-willed girl was abandoned by her parents at age nine and left to be raised by her grandmother. Yet, her grandmother depends on her family to take care of her and doesn’t have any money to afford her granddaughter’s surgery. If left untreated, Agness’ use of her hands will be greatly impaired.
Let’s help raise $505 for Agness’ surgery so she can use her hands again!
