Mark is a persevering father from the Philippines. He is married and has one child. He enjoys cooking, helping with chores, and spending time with his child, like watching children’s shows together.
Ten years ago, Mark began to experience troubling symptoms, including abdominal pain and difficulty moving. He has been diagnosed with gallstones and needs to undergo a cholecystectomy, the surgical removal of the gallbladder. If left untreated, his symptoms will continue to worsen and put him at risk for further health complications.
After seeking treatment through our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines (WSFP), Mark is scheduled to undergo a cholecystectomy on April 10th. The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation is covering a portion of the procedure’s cost, and WSFP is raising the remaining $1,031 to cover the cost of Mark’s surgery and care.
Mark shared, “Having access to surgery will definitely ease my pain and lift a heavy burden from my family. I am looking forward to getting better and doing more at work.”
