Nyunt is a 50-year-old father of three from Burma. Nyunt and his wife stay home and care for the kids and their nephew. They cultivate and sell bananas and beetle nuts for a living. During his leisure time, Nyunt enjoys spending time with his family. Nyunt is a former patient of Burma Children Medical Fund (BCMF) who received surgery for his renal stone problem with the help of Watsi in 2020. He had been in good health until earlier this year when he suddenly started experiencing difficulty passing urine. The doctor diagnosed him with bladder stones after conducting an X-ray and ultrasound. Doctors want Nyunt to undergo a CT scan, a procedure in which X-ray images taken from several angles are combined to produce cross-sectional images of the body. This scan will help doctors diagnose his condition and formulate an appropriate treatment plan. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $414 to cover the cost of Nyunt's CT scan and care, scheduled for March 5th. Nyunt said, "When I get healthy, I want to continue planting more beetle nut and banana plants on my property, as space still exists. They need some years to grow, but I think I can sell the fruits in the future."

Sarah is a 33-year-old a lady from Uganda. She is expecting a new baby and has been receiving antenatal care in Nyakibale. Sarah completed senior six and pursued university, where she studied secondary teaching and was able to teach for a few years. During her marriage, she delivered two children in 2015 and 2016 through C-section. Unfortunately, her husband had a previous wife who passed away, leaving three children that they were raising together until they separated. She returned home, and has lost her job. Despite the challenges, she engages in small-scale farming to produce food, compensating for the land shortage she faces due to losing her teaching job. She currently lives with her parents in a two-roomed house. Sarah is fond of sports and during her free time, she enjoys watching football and movies. She is currently expecting her third child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of her higher-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Sarah undergo a ceasarean section on December 14th. This procedure will cost $252, and Sarah needs your support. Sarah says, “I am suffering as I am now a single lady, I appeal to donors to support me in delivering my baby since am not able to afford the surgery bills.”

Linn is a 29-year-old man from Burma. He lives with his siblings and works at a store with his younger brother. In his leisure time, Linn enjoys expanding his knowledge through internet-based learning. Linn has been experiencing persistent back and chest pain, affecting his ability to perform daily tasks. After an ultrasound and x-ray, doctors diagnosed him with large renal stones and recommended the need for surgery. For the doctors to formulate an appropriate treatment plan, they want Linn to undergo a CT scan, a procedure in which X-ray images taken from several angles are combined to produce cross-sectional images of the body. Our medical partner, Burma Children's Medical Fund (BCMF), requests $469 to cover the cost of Linn's CT scan and care, scheduled for March 4th.
