Alpha is a three-year-old boy living in Uganda with his parents and siblings. He goes to a local school, where he enjoys playing games with the other children. His parents work as farmers to support the family.
One year ago, Alpha developed a painful hernia. A hernia occurs when an internal organ pokes through the abdominal wall, causing severe pain.
At our medical partner’s care center, Bwindi Community Hospital, Alpha’s parents learned that he would require surgery. The family needs financial assistance to afford the surgery, scheduled for February 4.
Alpha’s family has contributed $8. Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, is requesting an additional $229 to cover supplies, medications, the procedure, and five nights of hospital stay.
“I thank the people that are donating toward the care for my son to be relieved of this painful hernia. May God bless you to even help many more people in need,” says Alpha’s mother.
