Tumusiime is a 42-year-old married father from Uganda. He works as a motorcyclist to support his eight children, all of whom are studying at school.
Over ten years ago, Tumusiime developed a swelling on his scalp. The mass has gradually increased in size to a point where Tumusiime is unable to wear a helmet during work, compromising his safety.
Tumusiime has now been diagnosed with a scalp lipoma. While he sought out treatment over the years, Tumusiime could never afford to have surgery. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $187 to fund the excision of the lipoma.
“I am happy that Watsi offers these surgery services because I cannot afford the treatment. I hope to continue riding the motorcycle for the survival of my family,” says Tumusiime.
