Nash is a six-year-old first grader from the rural Philippines. He has a one-year-old little sister whom he loves very much. Nash is a playful kid, and he often spends his time playing with his little sister. He does well in school because he participates actively and really enjoys learning.
When Nash was three years old, his mother noticed that he was experiencing uncomfortable symptoms in a sensitive area. His parents brought him to a doctor, who recommended surgery. However, they could not afford surgery.
Fortunately, Nash’s mother is a member of one of our medical partner’s sponsored communities. He was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia and cleared for hernia repair surgery, which is scheduled for February 16.
Our medical partner, International Care Ministries, is requesting $413 to fund the treatment. This surgery will allow Nash to play without experiencing pain.
“I really wanted Nash to get healed form his condition,” says Nash’s mother. “I am thankful that in this time of desperation, you came to our community and you are willing to help us…Thank you so much in advance for your help. It means so much to our family. After the treatment, I hope that Nash will enjoy his childhood.”
