Johnson is a 62-year-old father of five from Uganda. He is a retired primary teacher who now works in small-scale farming, often working alongside his wife. They rely on this farming to sustain their livelihood.
For over two years, Johnson has had a right inguinal hernia. He has had symptoms such as swelling and pain in his right inguinal region. Initially, he tolerated the discomfort, but the pain worsened, leading him to seek medical help.
Johnson is scheduled to undergo a hernia repair surgery on July 11th. Our medical partner African Mission Healthcare (AMH) is requesting $230 to fund Johnson’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Johnson says, “I will be glad to have my life brought back to normal so that I can resume my activities for a living.”
