“I miss reading the most,” 64-year-old Ret shares with our medical partners at Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). A rice farmer from Cambodia with seven children and eight grandchildren, Ret has had blurred vision for the past three years due to hypermature cataracts in both of his eyes.
After meeting with Ret, the team at CSC reports, “Because of his poor vision, he has a hard time working on the rice farm and being able to care for his family.” While Ret still gets to enjoy listening to the radio and monks recite their prayers, his cataracts could lead to blindness.
For $150, we can fund comprehensive treatment for Ret’s cataracts, which will prevent blindness and improve Ret’s eyesight. Let’s help Ret return to work with improved vision, as well as resume his beloved pastime of reading!
