Soben is a 25-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. He is married and lives with his wife, who helps him farm, and their two-year-old daughter. In his free time, Soben enjoys playing volleyball with his friends in the village.
In March 2026, Soben was involved in a road traffic accident while riding his motorcycle, resulting in a fracture of his right wrist. He initially received treatment at a local clinic, where X-rays confirmed the fracture, and his wrist was immobilized with a cast. He continues to experience persistent pain and stiffness in his right wrist after the cast was removed. This makes it difficult for him to perform daily activities and limits his ability to work on the farm and support his family.
Fortunately, on April 7th, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, will perform a procedure to repair his wrist fracture. This will help reduce pain, restore movement in his wrist, and allow him to return to his farming work and daily activities. He can contribute $37.50, but needs help raising $563 more to fund his procedure and care.
Soben said, “After the surgery, I hope I can use my hand without pain again so I can work properly and take care of my family.”
