Samnang is a four-year-old preschool student who has two sisters and a brother. He likes to play with toys and go for walks around his home in his free time. In March 2016, Samnang sustained an electrical burn, causing his right mouth to become stiff. It is difficult for Samnang to open his mouth, and he is in pain.
Samnang’s mother learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), from her relative. CSC is requesting $194 to fund reconstructive burn surgery. Samnang traveled for four hours with his mother to reach CSC for treatment.
Surgeons at CSC will perform a burn contracture release surgery to allow Samnang to move his mouth easily again. He will undergo surgery on April 4.
