Sarah is a 21-year-old farmer from Uganda who is excited about her pregnancy. She lives in a small town with her husband, Amos. The couple grows crops together for food and income. When Sarah is not digging around the fields, she can be found weaving baskets and mats.
Because Sarah lost two children shortly after their births and also previously had a C-section, her current pregnancy is considered high risk. Doctors recommend that she receive medical attention before, during, and post delivery to ensure that she and her baby are healthy. On July 17, Sarah will begin prenatal checkups and supplements. When she goes into labor, she will be closely monitored by hospital staff, in case a C-section is needed. The staff will continue to observe Sarah and her baby after the delivery.
Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, is requesting $241 to help fund a safe delivery for Sarah.
Sarah says, “I am so excited to be giving birth. Amos and I want to have a family. I will be careful to follow the doctor’s orders. It is a great blessing to have help with this delivery. Please give all my thanks to the donors.”
