Chhoeun is a rice farmer from Cambodia. He likes watching movies and listening to the news on the radio.
Two years ago, Chhoeun developed a cataract in his left eye, causing him blurry vision, sensitivity to light, and itchiness. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Chhoeun learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for thirty minutes seeking treatment. On December 11, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
His brother-in-law says, “I hope my brother-in-law can improve his vision and I won’t worry about him anymore.”
