Joab is a two-month-old baby boy from Uganda. His mother and her family are farmers in the southwestern region where, unfortunately, the drought and poor rainy season has recently made for poor yields.
Joab is malnourished, and his mother cannot produce enough milk to feed him because she herself has not been getting sufficient nutrition. Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, is therefore requesting $316 to fund malnutrition treatment for Joab. The treatment is scheduled to be administered on July 6 and will include a ten-night hospital stay, labs, medications, and nutrient-rich formulas that Joab will be able to take home.
Joab’s mother hopes that her son will be able to develop along a healthy trajectory after receiving treatment. She adds, “I thank all the donors for their help. It is a gift from God. I hope they will continue to help others.”
