Two-year-old Precious is the daughter of small farmers in Uganda. When healthy, she enjoys playing with her three siblings and the other children in her village. Precious especially enjoys running and singing and likes to follow her older siblings when they are going to school. She also likes to hold her younger four-month-old baby brother.
Precious was recently diagnosed with malaria. She was sick for two days and was brought to the hospital with symptoms including high fevers, vomiting, and convulsions. Through our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, Precious will receive treatment on May 31 including antimalarials, fluids, and fever reducers. To fund her treatment, The Kellermann Foundation requests $120 in addition to the $2 contributed by her family.
When she is feeling better, Precious will be able to play with the other children in the family and village again. Her mother hopes to send her to school next year.
“May God bless all the donors. I thank them for their support helping my daughter to get treatment. We have not been able to save, and this is a great blessing,” says Precious’s mother.
