Tha is a 39-year-old recycling worker who lives in Cambodia. He and his wife have one son and one daughter. He likes to fish in the river, listen to the radio, and relax at home in his free time.
Tha fractured his right humerus in November of 2013. Three days later, he went to a provincial hospital, where surgeons performed a procedure to realign the bone fracture. His symptoms did not improve. Tha returned to the same hospital in 2015 to redo the surgery, but this second surgery also failed to heal him. He is unable to use his right arm, and he is in pain. Tha has not been able to work since the accident.
Tha traveled to our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). On March 28, surgeons there will perform an upper arm operation and bone graft to heal Tha’s fracture. This will allow him to use his arm easily and painlessly again. CSC is asking for $411 to cover the cost of the procedure. Your donation will help pay for surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, a physiotherapist, surgical supplies, medication, and 14 nights of hospital stay.
