Samnang is a 43-year-old clothing seller from Cambodia. He is married and lives in Phnom Penh with his wife and their three children. Their eldest child is in Grade 9, their second in Grade 6, and their youngest in Kindergarten. He enjoys chatting with friends and helping his children learn. On October 21st, 2026, Samnang was involved in a motor vehicle accident that caused a closed fracture of his right proximal tibia, the upper part of his shinbone near the knee. The injury affected blood flow to his right leg, requiring external fixation to stabilize the fracture and a fasciotomy to relieve pressure. Although blood flow improved after the initial surgery, he still needs further treatment for his fracture and surgical wound. His injury makes it difficult to move around comfortably and return to his daily activities and work as a clothing seller, affecting his ability to earn an income and support his family. Samnang is scheduled for surgery on October 26th with the help of our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC). Surgeons at CSC will perform a debridement procedure to remove damaged tissue as needed, close the surgical wound, and promote proper healing. This is an important step in his recovery and will help prepare his right leg for continued treatment following the fracture. He can contribute $50, but needs help raising $367 to help fund his procedure and care. Samnang shares, “I hope my wound heals well and my right leg gets better. I want to be able to stand and walk comfortably again, return to my work as a seller, and go back to my normal daily life. I hope I can recover my independence and take care of my responsibilities again.”

Anamiel is a cheerful and playful 14-month-old boy from Ethiopia. He loves playing football, spending time with other children, and watching animated movies. His lively personality and curiosity bring joy to his family. He lives with his parents, who work hard to support their family. His mother is a homemaker, while his father works as a driver. Anamiel was born with hypospadias, a condition that causes urinary dysfunction. Without treatment, he will continue to experience uncomfortable symptoms and will be at risk of future complications. Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help. Anamiel is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on October 20th. He and his family need help raising $1,293 to cover the cost of his procedure and care. Anamiel’s mother shared, “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful care and support you have provided to my child. Yuon is a 33-year-old ceiling installer from Cambodia. He lives in Banteay Meanchey Province with his parents, who are rice farmers. He is divorced and has two children, who live with their mother. In his free time, he helps his parents in the rice fields and enjoys playing volleyball with his friends. In April 2025, Yuon was involved in an accident that caused an open fracture of his right shinbone. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, the fracture got infected and failed to heal properly. The injury causes persistent pain and prevents him from walking. As a result, he has been unable to work or carry out his normal daily activities. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On July 6th, Yuon will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $600. A circular frame and bone transport procedure will gradually reconstruct his right tibia by encouraging new bone growth. Although recovery will take about a year, the treatment is expected to restore the bone, improve his ability to walk, and help him return to work and daily life. Yuon said, “I understand my treatment will take a while, but I hope it will give me the chance to walk again and live independently. I am very grateful for this opportunity.”
