William is a 47-year-old Malawian farmer who lives with his wife and six children. William farms and raises livestock for a living. He likes to spend what free time he has with his wife.
Since 2014, William has experienced pain and swelling caused by an inguinal hernia, which occurs when tissue, such as part of the intestine, protrudes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles. William and his family do not have the funds to pay for surgery. They were thrilled when they were introduced to Watsi.
On July 18, with the help of our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, William will undergo surgery to repair his hernia. Watsi is asking for $334 to pay for the operation. Your donation will help pay for the surgeon, anesthesiologist, surgical supplies, operation theater time, medication, and six nights of hospital stay.
