Emmanuel is a vibrant, curious young man who is eager to learn about the world around him and participate in it in a meaningful way. He loves reading, outdoor sports, and making new friends. Emmanuel is currently studying biochemistry at Nassarawa State University in Nigeria while also helping out his aging parents. One day, Emmanuel hopes to launch a feeding program that will meet the needs of the orphans and less privileged people he sees in his community every day.
But right now, Emmanuel needs a little help from us. Last year, he was the victim of a serious road traffic accident in which he suffered a horrible fracture of his arm. Emmanuel has now been diagnosed with chronic osteomyelitis, a bone infection that causes him excruciating pain and prevents him from participating in school and doing everyday tasks.
It will cost $1000 to remove the infected pieces of Emmanuel’s bone and enable him to go back to living his life. Emmanuel cannot afford the treatment, and neither can his parents. We want to raise the money needed to cover the cost of Emmanuel’s care and help this promising young person get back on track.
