Kyamatundu is a 67-year-old Ugandan woman. She has two adult children who are married and have families of their own.
She has developed a localized swelling on her left hand that causes her pain in her daily life and has affected her ability to work. If left untreated, Kyamatundu will have persistent pain due nerve compression.
Kyamatundu was diagnosed with a ganglion cyst and will need to undergo surgery to remove it. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $187 to fund her procedure, which is scheduled to take place on July 6.
After her surgery, she hopes that her pain will be relieved and that she will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
