Jeremiah is a jolly and lovely boy from Uganda. Jeremiah just started preschool this year, and he has an older brother in second grade. Jeremiah loves playing football with his brother at home, and his mother says that he is a very determined boy. Jeremiah’s parents hope that one day he’ll grow up to be a doctor. His mother is a primary school teacher, and his father is a farmer.
Jeremiah has been experiencing a painful and swollen cyst on his back for five months. He has a difficult time sleeping sometimes, and often wakes up in the middle of the night, because of the pain on his back. Jeremiah was brought into Karoli Lwanga Hospital, and upon seeing the doctor, he was diagnosed with a cyst. Our medical partners recommend an excision treatment on the cyst for a complete recovery.
Jeremiah’s family traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On March 5th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Jeremiah’s family needs help to raise $188 to fund this procedure.
Jeremiah’s mother says, “I hope that when my son is operated on, he will get relieved from this pain he has been passing through and will be able to resume school in school health.”
