Meet David, a father of two children. He works as a salesman to support his family and his elderly mother.
In April 2016, Daniel fainted and fell, breaking his hand. He was rushed to the hospital, where he learned he needed surgery. He could not afford to pay for treatment.
David was in pain and unable to work. Without treatment, he risked infection or a fracture malunion. Fortunately, he was referred to our medical partner’s care center, AIC Kijabe Hospital. On December 7, doctors performed an open reduction internal fixation procedure to repair his fracture.
David has contributed $104 to his care, but he needs help to pay his remaining $640 medical bill.
“I want to be well,” he says, “to continue working to provide for my family members, who rely on me.”
