Try is a 68-year-old food seller from Cambodia. He has four children, eight grandchildren, and enjoys watching the news on television in his spare time.
Two years ago, Try developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him vision loss. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Try learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for six and a half hours seeking treatment. On August 12, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I hope that I will be able to see everything clearly and can go anywhere outside by myself more easily than before.”
