Nancy is a 22-year-old woman from Guatemala. She lives with her family of five in the rural highlands and works as an assistant nurse in her town’s local health center.
Six months ago, Nancy began having problems with her eyesight and was diagnosed with myopia, or nearsightedness. In order to fix her blurry vision and inability to see faraway objects, Nancy needs corrective lenses.
Seeking treatment through our medical partner, Wuqu’ Kawoq, Nancy is scheduled to have an evaluation and receive prescription lenses on June 12. She is requesting $552 to cover the total cost of her treatment.
These glasses will help Nancy complete her work as an assistant nurse and improve her daily life. Nancy says, “I am very grateful, first to God, because he has touched the hearts of the people in the institution and the donors who bring this support. I wish to thank you all for this great help you are giving me. May God bless all of you who continue to support people with economic need.”
