Phally is a 49-year-old farmer who is married and has five sons, two daughters, and three grandchildren. She likes to watch comedies and dramas on TV in her free time. She also enjoys feeding her cows and buffaloes.
One year ago, Phally developed a cataract in each eye, causing her blurred vision and tearing. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, working, and going anywhere outside.
When Phally learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for two hours seeking treatment. On December 22, doctors performed a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in each eye. After recovery, Phally will be able to see clearly again. Now, she needs help to fund this $292 procedure.
“I hope I can see everything more clearly,” says Phally, “so that I can easily plant and feed animals like cows and buffaloes. I will be able to go anywhere outside by myself without needing to disturb others to take care of me anymore.”
