Mutankangisa is a small-scale farmer and a mother of one. She lives with her own elderly mother and helps to care for her. Mutankangisa survives on farming, which requires her to carry heavy loads on her head, but this is now difficult for her.
Over 30 years ago, Mutankangisa developed a small, painless swelling on the top of her head. The mass started progressively increasing in size and she can no longer comfortably carry weight on it. This has negatively affected her farm production as she transports materials and harvested goods in this way.
Mutankangisa traveled to our medical care provider’s care center to receive treatment. On February 17, surgeons removed the mass. Now, Mutankangisa needs help to raise $145 to fund this procedure.
Mutankangisa says, “I hope to look normal again through surgery. I hope to live a better, improved, and more productive life. I will continue with farming as soon as I am well again.”
