Srey Kann is a six-year-old girl from Cambodia who likes to play with her four sisters and watch cartoons on TV.
When Srey Kann was just one year old, she burned her left elbow, wrist, and fingers with boiling water. Over time, she developed burn scar contractures that tightened the skin around the burns. The scar tissue is painful and inhibits Srey Kann’s arm mobility.
Earlier this year, Watsi funded burn contracture release and skin flap procedures for Srey Kann. However, she still needs a skin graft treatment to heal her hands.
On July 12, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, will perform a skin graft procedure to help Srey Kann use use her left hand easily again. CSC is requesting $440 to fund the treatment.
Srey Kann’s parents are grateful to Watsi for supporting their daughter’s treatment.
