Morondou is a 55-year-old mother from Kenya. Fifteen years ago, Morondou’s health started to change. She started getting weak and losing weight.
Seven years later, Morondou observed a swelling on her neck, which prompted her to visit the hospital. There, doctors diagnosed her with an enlarged thyroid and recommended she undergo a thyroidectomy, a surgical procedure to remove her thyroid.
Morondou is scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy to alleviate her symptoms on July 5. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $641 to help fund her treatment and care.
“My mother likes spending her time in her small collard greens farm. My hope and happiness are that she gets treated so she can continue helping us,” her daughter says.
