Sankhani is a 75-year-old farmer from rural Malawi. He has eight children and 30 grandchildren and lives with his wife in their small village. When Sankhani is not farming, he likes to spend time singing in his church’s choir.
For the past two months, Sankhani has experienced pain due to an enlarged prostate. His condition is benign and easily treated surgically.
In order to help Sankhani, our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $733 to fund his surgery and hospital stay. Sankhani is scheduled to undergo surgery at our medical partner’s care center, Nkhoma Hospital, on July 13.
Sankhani is looking forward to returning to farming when he gets home. He says, “I am giving many thanks to Watsi.”
