Sieng Hy is a 16-year-old farmer from Cambodia. He comes from a large family, having two sisters and four brothers. During his free time, he enjoys playing football with co-workers and listening to music.
This past April, Sieng Hy injured his left hand in an accident. Specifically, a piece of ax became lodged into his hand, causing much discomfort and pain. Sieng Hy went to a clinic, but primary care physicians were unable to successfully remove the pieces of ax.
Sieng Hy travelled six hours to reach our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, for treatment. On May 17, surgeons will remove the foreign object in his hand. CSC is requesting $224 to help fund this procedure. Post-surgery, Sieng Hy will be able to perform daily activities again.
