Matalya is a 54-year-old mother of two from a village in Malawi. When she isn’t working on her maize and groundnut farm, she enjoys chatting with her friends and relaxing.
Two months ago, Matalya began to experience troubling symptoms that prevented her from working. When Matalya visited our medical partner’s hospital, Nkhoma Hospital, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. On December 20, she underwent a hysterectomy to save her life. Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $643 to fund this important procedure.

Matali underwent a hysterectomy.
