Meet Ambrose, a 28 year-old-man from rural Uganda. He works with his parents on their farm to raise enough food for the family. Ambrose just opened a small stall by the road near his home, where he sells bananas and cassava from his parent’s garden. He uses his income to pay tuition for his siblings.
Ambrose was riding a borrowed motorcycle when he lost control and fell. He fractured his tibia, one of the lower bones in his leg. The injury soon became painful and swollen. Ambrose visited a clinic, where he received pain relief drugs. He was referred to our medical partner’s care center, Bwindi Community Hospital, for an X-ray and fracture management.
On November 13, Ambrose will have his fracture cast and his bones set. For $133, we can help to fund this care. After recovery, he looks forward to returning home and continuing to help his family.
Ambrose says, “I wish to thank everyone that is supporting my care. I pray for God’s blessings upon you and the work you are doing in helping those in need.”
