Winnie is a 24-year old Kenyan woman with a warm smile. She is pregnant and lately has been experiencing head, back and abdominal pain – making it hard to do her daily tasks. Her husband works long hours as a tailor and her family depends on the extra money Winnie brings in from her sugarcane farming.
Winnie has learned about the danger signs of pregnancy from the health care workers and knows how important it is to deliver in a health facility with skilled attendants. She is hoping to have access to such crucial care, but her family can’t afford it on their own.
Winnie and her baby need help from the Watsi community to make sure she has access to a safe delivery. Let’s fund Winnie’s maternal care for $215 and help her bring her baby into this world safely.
