Jane is a sweet four-year-old. She is the fourth born in a family of four children and is just about to start nursery school.
Jane’s mother is a primary school teacher while her father is a carpenter whenever he can get work. They shared that it is her mother’s income that sustains their family of six.
For about one year Jane has been having difficulty in breathing. She has been coming to our medical partner’s ENT clinic and has received many medications, but her condition always returns within a few days. Her mother shared how much this is now affecting her growth and life. Her doctor has recommended an adenotonsillectomy surgery to finally help her feel better.
If not treated, Jane will continue to have difficulties in sleeping, pain, and regular swelling of tonsils and adenoids which may lead to complications like inner ear infections.
Jane’s family needs $565 to pay for her surgery and care. Her mother shared, “Jane is our last born child and we love her a lot, but whenever evening or night comes, she is suffering a lot trying to breathe because of this problem. I plead on her behalf to get help so that we can see her grow and thrive like other children.”
