As someone who loves to eat fish, Nget can’t think of a better job than being a fisherman! He is one of the lucky ones who enjoys what he does, and if he’s not out on a boat, he is helping his wife on their small vegetable farm in their village.
Three weeks ago, however, Nget burned his foot on an electrical rat trap. His wound has since become infected, exposing underlying bone and causing immense pain. He hasn’t been able to walk without crutches and without immediate intervention, the infection with spread and he will need his foot amputated.
For only $300, we can help save Nget’s foot. The surgeons at Children’s Surgical Centre will remove the dead tissue and skin graft the affected area as soon as possible to prevent further infection and decrease pain. This procedure will ensure that Nget can get back to catching (and eating!) as much fish as he wants and continue to support his family without losing his foot.
